Divine Details

Rachael & Jeff

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, October 15, 2014

What a treat do we have for you today! In case you missed the post on Style Me Pretty, we are here today to share all the beautiful (and we mean, truly beautiful!) details of Rachael and Jeff's Colleton River Plantation wedding in May. It was such an honor to be featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty and even more of an honor to work with this sweet couple. Their love is so evident and this wedding was truly all about them and celebrating that love with their families.

With an Avante-Garde fashion forward dress and BoHo Chic dresses and halos for the bridesmaids, the styling on this wedding was perfection. The duo was married in the charming United Methodist Church where they always wanted to marry. The Voices of El Shaddai Gullah Choir rejoiced in "Oh Happy Day" immediately following the ceremony. We couldn't get enough of the gorgeous florals by A Floral Affair.

At Colleton River, custom made bars were crafted and cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served on the lawn with soft seating. Inside, a dramatic escort card display was created with guest names hanging from a chandelier wrapped in flowers. For dinner, Chef Robert Wysong at Colleton River Plantation created impeccable dishes with local grouper, Mediterranean roasted chicken and filet of beef. Minette Rushing of Savannah Custom Cakes created the most splendid cake gilded in gold and guests danced the night away with East Coast Entertainment's top band. The entire day was filled with an incredible team of vendor friends that made this beautiful wedding possible. Here's a photo recap!

Meet Lindsay Daly!

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, October 08, 2014

Over the last few years, Spencer Special Events has grown tremendously and what a fun ride it has been! We are so fortunate to have an extensive team that makes all of our amazing events possible. With three event coordinators, our PR/Social Media gal, between 3-5 day-of assistants and of course, Case Spencer who's our jack-of-all trades, Spencer Special Events is more than just one person show. We're comprised of a group of individuals that together makes the Spencer Special Events family. Today we're highlighting one person in particular-- meet the darling, Lindsay Daly!

Lindsay started with Spencer Special Events over four years ago and now is responsible for designing and planning many of our smaller, more intimate events. This is particularly exciting for all those brides that realize during the planning process they need a little help on their wedding day! Lindsay's incredibly trustworthy, creative, detail oriented an absolute doll to work with. She's more than experienced, too.

Lindsay grew up mostly in Connecticut and after graduating Vanderbilt University, she worked at JCrew in their corporate office in NYC. Her roles included keeping an eye on fashion and style trends, as well as budgeting and placing orders in a very faced paced environment. She had to be creative, good with balancing finances, and very detail oriented. (Translates so nicely to wedding planning, doesn't it?!)

Her passion for weddings dates back to a young, single girl in her early twenties where she kept a secret stash of wedding magazines. (Ssshh! Don't tell.) For Lindsay, event planning encompasses so many of the things she loves! Lindsay majored in Art History in college, loves interior design and all things beautiful. For each wedding, Spencer Special Events is helping couples design a unique and personal ceremony and reception space -- it's right up Lindsay's alley and reflects her passions!

Linsday absolutely LOVES getting to know the couples she works with. Since every couple is so different, she finds it so much fun getting to know them and their style for their dream wedding. Lindsay always finds it  interesting to see the songs they pick." I feel like that tells a lot about them!" she says. "We’ve had everything from very traditional, to all songs from Disney Movies, even had a flash mob dance at a rehearsal dinner!" Whether it’s as the bride is walking down the aisle or if they have chosen to do a first look – Lindsay's favorite thing is always when the groom sees the bride for the first time!

When she's not planning weddings, you can find Lindsay hanging out with her goofy great dane, Georgia, where the two love to stroll on the beach. She loves hitting the pool with a great book and frequents Lowcountry Back Yard (one of her favorite restaurants) and other yummy local eateries and watering holes.

There you have it, folks! A snippet and insight to the fabulous Lindsay Daly! We hope we've given you just a little peek at our team and sparked anyone's interest in one of our limited-service packages. For inquiries, please visit here!

Katelyn & Evan

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, October 01, 2014

If you follow any of our social media -- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter -- you may have noticed we were over the moon excited about seeing our gorgeous (inside and out) couple, Katelyn & Evan, featured on Weddings Unveiled Magazine Blog.  (The highly popular blog is seen by hundreds of thousands of people! So cool!) Weddings Unveiled is known for featuring exceptionally beautiful weddings with fantastic photography. It's a true honor to have one of our Spencer Special Events weddings featured.

But so much more than seeing an event of ours featured in a magazine or blog are seeing the photos again. They bring back such an incredible day for us. In working with couples and their families for months and months, people become like family to us. And so, seeing Katelyn & Evan's photos allow us to reminisce about a beautiful day when two people we love got hitched! Seeing their families faces again really warmed our hearts!

With the ceremony and reception both taking place at the prestigious Colleton River Plantation Club in Bluffton, South Carolina, Katelyn and Evan had a stunning wedding with classic finishes and details. White, cream, khaki, natural linen and touches of green and purple made up the color palate. Take a peek at some of the glorious photos (some of which you may not have seen yet on our social media!), shared to us by the exceptionally talented and pleasure to work with, Joy Marie Photo.

In case you missed Katelyn & Evan's engagement photo shoot, be sure to visit this post -- it was also really beautiful and worth the click. A HUGE thank you to all the folks we worked with on this wedding. What a talented team of friends!

A Wedding at Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, September 24, 2014

You'll make many tough choices when planning your wedding but none more important than choosing your wedding venue. Almost every other detail and choice you make -- from the food, the decor, the flowers and even the cake -- can all depend on where. At Spencer Special Events, we just love touring our couples around to the area's finest locations and wedding venues -- giving them all the beautiful options. There's one place that we never miss and that is Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island.

We get brides from all over the country. From Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Knoxville, Denver and everywhere else and no matter where they are coming from, they all want that Lowcountry feel. That's why they choose this area for a wedding -- the breath taking beauty of the Lowcountry and all that this area has to offer. Having a wedding at Sea Pines Resort provides destination brides with options and a taste of everything. From the sand, the marsh, the iconic lighthouse, a ballroom, Spanish-Moss draped Oaks, a beautiful Inn -- every part of the Lowcountry that we love is right there in Sea Pines Resort!

We cannot rave enough about the team themselves at Sea Pines. They're absolute dolls to work with! We felt so honored and privileged to step inside early construction on their new wedding venues a few months ago and sat down with them the other day to hear what's new and how the construction is coming along.  WOW! We are so excited to share what's new and what's in store!

There are 3 new buildings and 4 new reception venues at Sea Pines. The Beach Club/Atlantic Room is an impressive and expansive space for 100-120 guests. The second floor has incredible ocean views with sliding glass doors. It's climate controlled or can be left open to get that breezy, beachy feel! There's also the Plantation Golf Club Magnolia Room that is new. For 100 or less, it's the perfect newly designed space. With neutral decor, it can be made into the space of your dreams!

Then there's the Harbour Town Clubhouse on the legendary PGA course. The redesigned Champions ballroom and Jr. Ballroom are fantastic options for couples with larger parties. Outside the Champions Ballroom, Sea Pines is putting the finishing touches on a new roof, covered porch and gazebo.

One of the things we love sharing with our couples is that they have the option of doing an "Inn buyout" where they reserve all 60 rooms at the Inn at Harbour Town. We think this option is fabulous for larger weddings with lots of out of town guests. You are really able to "take over" the entire Inn -- you and your wedding party are the only guests there. The catering team is happy to arrange welcome cocktails, lunches, snacks and farewell brunches, too! Sea Pines is also one of the only resorts to have their own pastry chef on staff, providing couples with exceptional cake design and delicious tasting cake!

We also love that in Sea Pines, you have all the resort amenities that your guests are looking for. You can kayak within Plantation, you have restaurants nearby, there's golf and tennis. Everything is easily accessible and your guests will feel like they are truly on vacation on Hilton Head Island.

If you'd like to learn more about a wedding at Sea Pines Resort, head on over to their website to see more and be sure to tell them that the gals at Spencer Special Events sent you! Stay tuned for more photos of the new construction, coming soon!

Wedding Ceremony Music

Spencer Special Events - Thursday, September 18, 2014

When it comes time to planning music for your wedding day, many brides and grooms get excited but plenty of others are overwhelmed and intimidated by the entire process. Music sets the tone for each part of your wedding. Whether it be that moment you walk down the aisle, as you enter the ballroom with your new hubby, dinner music, or creating that party experience you are looking for -- they all require different music. Where do you start? Today we want to help you take a quick peek into the process of selecting your ceremony music and song selections.

At Spencer Special Events, we are here to help guide you through this process to ensure you don't feel overwhelmed. We work with the areas most trusted music sources. One of our favorites is Hilton Head Entertainment! They've been in the wedding music business for 25 years and draw upon the hundreds of talented musicians, bands, DJ's and specialty music artists in the Lowcountry. They know who to call when you want a modern version of "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles to walk down the aisle, a Gullah Choir, or who to call when you need a Blue Grass Band for cocktail hour. We sat down with Jessica Jameson of Hilton Head Entertainment to share some tips with our readers!

Ceremony Music

Like many things, it will depend on your budget and your vision. You may want to consider a solo violinist, guitar or harp playing while your guests are being seated. You may love the idea of a magnificent Gullah choir rejoicing in song after you say "I do." At Spencer Special Events, we will be happy to give you some ideas that we think work for your style and ceremony format! We love that part!

When it comes to song choice, we are seeing more modern choices such as Jason Miraz, "I'm Yours", The Beatles "All You Need Is Love," Isreal K. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," and Train's "Marry Me." Weddings today are of course still about tradition, but about incorporating meaning and personal touches. So don't be shy to ask if they can play your song!

Of course, there are all the traditional songs available like Trumpet Voluntary, Canon D, and all the classics if that's what you are looking for. Plenty of musicians play a good mix of modern and classics! We love working with Hilton Head Entertainment because spending on the vision, style and song requests, they help make excellent recommendations for who to choose.

All photos by Landon Jacob Productions (thanks!)

Our biggest tip when it comes to ceremony music is to know what you like and then trust the experts. Give them plenty of direction but then sit back and let them help. Jessica Jameson has lead dozens and dozens of our brides in choosing the right music, she prides herself in careful attention to each couple that she works with. She returns emails in a flash and having worked for the company for almost a decade, she's built personal relationships with musicians. She gets questions answered and helps ensure your wedding music is flawless. With Hilton Head Entertainment, there's always a backup plan too (in case that harpist gets sick -- you're covered in your contract with guaranteed ceremony music!)

We hope this has given you some insight into ceremony music and taken some stress away. We are here to help so that this process is fun, NOT overwhelming. That's what this is all about!

Wedding Registry Tips

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, September 10, 2014

There are so many exciting parts of planning a wedding, but there's one that gets many shopping-loving brides (and a few grooms, too!) truly jazzed -- and that's registering for wedding gifts! Registering for wedding gifts is a time honored tradition dating back to the 1920's when a popular department store (Marshall Field's) introduced the concept. It's not "greedy" to register, many guests appreciate learning what your style is and seeing exactly what you want. Most guests truly want to give you something you want (no returns necessary!) Providing your friends and family with a variety of options in a range of price points will allow them to choose something that they can get excited about. Spencer Special Events is here today to share one of our absolute favorite sites!

At last! The traditional registry has evolved beyond china, crystal, silver and even home items. In our modern world, you can now register for your honeymoon, cash, a charity of your choice, gourmet food and wine, and even experience activities to do together! Enter, Newlyish!

Newlywish was started by our darling friend, Amanda Allen, from Engage, the luxury bridal summit we attend. Amanda Allen founded Newlywish for the modern engaged couple. Registrants are "mature, design-and style-savvy folks who are looking for chic home wares and outside-of-the-box gift options, like experiences they can enjoy together."

This amazing site allows couples to register for unique and stylish gifts from over 60+ boutiques and artisans. It's even curated by some experts like celebrities, bloggers, designers and more. You can start your own registry in seconds -- if registering overwhelms you, there are tools to quick add bulk products. (For example, a white sheet starter set gets you set up with all the towels, sheets, duvet, shams, etc. that you need with one click!) You can even register for GROUP GIFTS, guests can contribute money towards a gift but not necessarily the whole amount. If they want to give you a mixer for example, but it's slightly out of range, your guest can contribute towards that mixer! (See an example here!)

We love to shop and we picked out a few of our quick favorites to share with our readers. You'll even find wedding favors, and gifts for your bridesmaids or groomsmen on this site. We love that all those amazing artisans out there are able to sell their goods to the world, where otherwise they might not have been able to start a registry! It helps small businesses boom. Genius, I tell ya!

There are more luxurious, beautiful items at Newlywish be sure to check them all out in bedding, bath, home decor, furniture, art, lighting... the list goes on.  But beyond those, we love that you can register for a cash fun or honeymoon fund. Perhaps you and your fiance have been living together for awhile. If you aren't just starting a new home and already have a lot of home items, a  cash or honeymoon fund  is a popular choice that's perfectly acceptable!

If you don't feel as comfortable registering for a cash fund or honeymoon fund, consider registering for experiences like cooking classes, dance classes, spa appointments, even classes in interior design and organization! There is a wide range from which to choose. This is one of Amanda Spencer's favorite options of the site!! It's all about making memories!

Very cool, isn't it?

A HUGE thank you to Amanda Allen for sharing some insight today with our readers and her amazing creation that we just can't rave enough about!

Stephanie & Nathan

Spencer Special Events - Thursday, September 04, 2014

Today fall in love with this super cute couple, Stephanie and Nathan, just like we did in the months of planning before their wedding day this past June. These two just sparkled inside and out!  Spencer Special Events was so honored to be a part of their day. From the beautiful styling of Stephanie's dress, delicious selection of food, tremendous cake and dessert options, divine floral arrangements, soft drapery and beautiful venue at The Omni Resort on Hilton Head Island, this wedding was both personal and reflective of the couple getting married.

We sat down with Stephanie to ask her some questions about how she and Nathan met, their design inspiration, and plenty more to share with our readers. Thanks to Hopkins Studios for beautiful photography of this sweet couples big day!

1. How did you and Nathan meet? Nathan and I first met in 2007 while we were freshmen at West Virginia University through mutual friends. We actually both grew up in the same hometown but our paths never crossed until then! Nathan and I attended different schools (rival high schools) until we both started at WVU. We found that we had similar interests and really enjoyed being around each other. In the summer of 2008, Nathan finally asked me to go to dinner with him. After that the rest is history! We dated for four years before we got engaged in March 2012 in the beautiful Dominican Republic. From that moment on the wedding planning started (and continued) for the next two years.

2. Why did you choose Hilton Head Island to get married? We chose to get married in Hilton Head because we really loved the beautiful environment of the island. We both love the beach and found it to be a perfect place to have our wedding. We also wanted our guests to enjoy themselves and make a family vacation out of it. Nathan and I actually vacationed in Hilton Head in 2009 with my parents. This was our first vacation together. Little did we know that 5 years later we would be saying “I Do” on the island!

3. Why The Omni Resort Shorehouse for your ceremony and reception? Nathan and I really fell in love with the beautiful scenery surrounding the Shorehouse. The backdrop of the beach is stunning. The Shorehouse had everything that we wanted in a venue. We were able to have both the ceremony and reception in the same location. It was a part of the Omni Resort but still secluded enough that you were separate from the other guests. Alison Ward, the catering manager, was amazing and had several years of experience at the Omni. The Shorehouse as well as the entire Omni Resort was a wonderful place to have our wedding.

4. Where did you draw your inspiration for the wedding design? Like the majority of modern brides, I found my inspiration from sites such as Pinterest and The Knot. After looking at the wedding board that I had created on Pinterest, I discovered that I pinned a lot of deep purple and gray. That is when I realized that I was drawn to those colors without really even knowing. The color palate was so beautiful that we decided to choose those colors for our wedding. The vibe that I was going for was definitely romantic. One of the designs that I really wanted was to incorporate white draping into the space. I really wanted to create that soft, romantic look with white drapes that would catch some of the ocean breeze coming up to the Shorehouse. I also loved the idea of having tall candle lanterns to add to that romantic feel.

5. Tell us about that gown and the bridal attire! I found my wedding gown at Exquisite Bride in Murrysville, PA. It was the first and only bridal salon that I went to. My mother and grandmother were with me. It was special for me to have my grandmother there as she used to own her own bridal salon. My wedding gown was the third one that I tried on. It was a beautiful sweetheart strapless Maggie Sottero A-line gown made out of Paris chiffon with a stunning Swarovski crystal beaded belt and a corset back closure.

6. What was the most important thing for you on your wedding day? It was really important to us to create a relaxing and fun environment for our guests. We wanted them to really enjoy themselves while they were being a part of our day. It was important to us to have great food as well as great music to create that perfect environment for our reception.

7. Tell us about your food! Our food was amazing! We wanted our guests to have a variety of different options to choose from. We went with stations for our reception for that reason. For cocktail hour we provided a selection of chef’s canapés that included a selection of brie and strawberry, roasted vegetables on baguette, smoked salmon on pumpernickel, curry chicken salad in phyllo, crab salad on cucumber round, and blackened filet with horseradish on crouton. We also had black eyed pea hummus and Carolina crab and crawfish dip severed with crostino and pita. There was a chilled jumbo shrimp display as well as a fresh fruit display. We had a signature cocktail served during this time called “Almost Heaven” topped with edible orchids. For our reception we did a plated salad and then had different stations. There was a carving station which had honey whiskey glazed beef tenderloin with roasted potatoes. We also had a pasta station where guests could choose from penne and bowtie pasta accompanied by grilled chicken, prosciutto ham, and a variety of different vegetables with marinara and pesto cream sauces. Our last station was a pan seared jumbo lump crab cake station where there was a chef preparing the crab cakes right there. For dessert we had miniature desserts which including key lime pie squares, tiramisu in shot glasses, pecan squares, and mini cheesecakes. Our guests could enjoy a variety of cocktails throughout the reception. Our wedding cake was made by the talented Minette Rushing with Custom Cakes. She created a beautiful three tiered cake with different flavors for each tier. The bottom tier consisted of a vanilla bean cake with strawberry filling. We chose a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream for the second tier. The top tier was carrot cake with cream cheese.

8. Where did you honeymoon? We honeymooned for a week in the gorgeous Riviera Maya at Secrets Maroma all-inclusive resort. We enjoyed a honeymoon package in a preferred club swim-out suit. It was a perfect ending to an amazing wedding!

We SO enjoyed working with Stephanie, Nathan and their sweet families and feel so blessed to have been a part of their day!

Lauren & Colin

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Oh, do we have a fun post this week! One of our favorite parts of this "job" is becoming friends with the brides we work with, and developing lasting friendships with the sweet couples and their families. This is the case again with our darling May 2015 bride and groom, Lauren and Colin, who could not be any more adorable and such a pleasure to work with. We are so excited to share photos from their fabulous New York City engagement session by the exceptionally talented, Virgil Bunao and their love story, which also brings us back to why we do this for a living!

Meet our super cute couple, Lauren and Colin!

Lauren and Colin met while Lauren was interning at J.P.Morgan before her senior year at Washington & Lee University. Colin had just graduated from Princeton and moved to New York when the couple was introduced by a mutual friend. They started dating officially after Lauren moved to NYC full time. After dating for five years, they enrolled at Columbia Business School together and were engaged last October on a "random Wednesday" after class. It was extremely unexpected!

After celebrating with champagne, Lauren called her best friend (and Matron of Honor) Becky, who sent her straight to voice mail. Lauren called her mom who replied "that's great honey, but Dad and I are on our way to dinner, I will call you after." What she didn't know was that Mom, Dad and Becky were in on the surprise. Colin had planned a special dinner at Landmarc nearby their apartment. When they arrived, Becky, her husband, Lauren's parents, and Colin's best friend, Dave, and his fiancé were all there to celebrate! They kept the night going after that with champagne and cocktails at Stone Rose Lounge with a few of their closest friends. What a fun engagement story for a "random” Wednesday night!

For the engagement session, the Charleston-based photographer, Virgil Bunao, flew up to New York City where Lauren and Colin reside. Lauren wanted to get a mix of photos from uptown (where they live together now) as well as downtown.

They started the day off in Central Park, close to home, and then worked their way downtown. Lauren and Colin made sure to stop at their favorite brunch spot in the West Village, Extra Virgin, to take a few pictures before heading out to a friend’s rooftop apartment. They then made their way to the meatpacking district, where the couple danced the night away when they first started dating!

Perhaps Lauren put it best when she said how impressed she was with Virgil's photographic eye and his ability to "take harsh city lighting and hardscapes and make them seem soft and inviting." Just take a peek at these stunning photos!

To see even more of this incredible day-long engagement shoot in the Big Apple, visit this site! A HUGE THANK YOU to Virgil Bunao and Lauren and Colin for allowing us to share this with the Spencer Special Events audience!

We can't wait until May 2015, we know this is going to be one special wedding and gorgeous bride and groom!

Dana & Jeff

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, August 20, 2014

We had the incredible opportunity to design and plan Dana and Jeff's Hilton Head Island wedding that took place at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa, this past April. It was a large wedding with over 300 guests in attendance. Spencer Special Events ensured not only every detail was perfect and it looked fantastic, but collaborated with the wonderful staff at The Westin to make sure the food and service were flawless as well. The wedding went off without a hitch and over 300 guests went home raving about this one! A clean ballroom design with navy, cream, ivory, green and a touch of gold dominated, this classic wedding  and is being featured on Brides.com very soon!

Today we are sharing just some of our favorite photos by the exceptionally talented wedding photographer, Shawna Herring! She was a delight to work with and captured the day just perfectly. (We had a hard time choosing between the 1400+ plus photos shared!)

After a beautiful ceremony underneath their custom crafted Chuppah, it was time for a cocktail hour complete with raw bar, various action stations, sushi platters and a martini bar in the Oceanfront Pavilion at The Westin. Beautiful ice sculptures were abundant. We especially loved the Hilton Head light house and vodka luge martini bar!

A custom installation of Spanish Moss, succulents, greenery and flowers served as a unique way to the escort cards.

After cocktails and appetizers, it was time to open the grand ballroom doors inside! There were over 25 tables and designed to all look unique. Guest were seated according to their escort cards, beautifully displayed at the cocktail hour. A mix of low arrangements, tall glass hurricanes with candles, gold mercury votive candles, and large custom designed orchid trees graced the table tops, all designed by the extremely talented, A Floral Affair.

The couple chose a 5 tiered, white cake by Minette Rushing, Custom Cakes with hundreds of beautiful handmade sugar flowers. A master mind a flavor and decoration, guests raved about this delicious cake by Minette. (They always do!)

Dana, Jeff and their guests danced well into the night on their custom monogram dance floor to the great sounds of the Heather Hayes Band. Heather and band sure kept the dance floor a rocking!

A big thank you to all the talented people (listed below) that made this wedding possible and a huge congrats to our Spencer Special Events couple, Dana & Jeff. We wish you all the happiness in the world. Thank you for being so wonderful to work with!

Custom Wedding Fabric and Drapery

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, August 06, 2014

What makes a luxury wedding? Of course there are many things but one item at the top of our list is beautiful draping, high end table linens and custom fabrics throughout. We sat down with the leader in custom linens, Shay Vitale at Party Tables, to hear all about the latest trends and bring her expertise to our brides and readers. Now, this was a fun one!

Over the last two years, the wedding industry has seen a plethora of weddings with natural, organic colors and fabrics. Burlap, linen, champagne, blush, cream and gold have dominated and they've been absolutely stunning. As brides plan their 2015 weddings, Party Tables and Spencer Special Events are seeing a few new and exciting trends to share!

These trends are actually variations of classics (aren't all trends?!) and we are happy to see these reappear. According to Shay, you'll be seeing:

  1. Apple green and pear
  2. Abstract prints
  3. Vintage palms (for coastal, classic weddings)
  4. Plum purple
  5. Modern damask

Apple green, pear, and plum purple are colors that have been less featured over the last few years. Damask has always been popular, but this modern take on a classic is one that couple's are loving! The vintage palms breath coastal chic and add a fun flair to any Lowcountry event.

What is more fabulous than these trends (or new classics) is the quality of the linens and fabrics that Party Tables uses. They pull in fabrics from India to China, straight to the mill, and bring it to their warehouse. They manufacture and launder in house, providing total quality control. They stock wonderful rich fabrics but customers can also go outside the inventory and order the fabric that is exactly what they want. They'll also custom make the table linens to be exactly the size you need. To really give your tables that custom look!

Custom draping, another service that Party Tables provides and that Spencer Special Events often recommends, is a design element that really adds to your space. Whether you choose to drape a a few beams or the entire ballroom or tent, draping makes a space uniquely yours and truly softens any venue. We've had dozens of brides over the last few years do custom draping, a few great ones come to mind like these.

The above wedding at Colleton River Plantation was a tent draped in beautiful fabrics and thousands (really! thousands!) of ruffles that resembled flowers all created in organza fabric. The couple wanted a beautiful, trendy design that was uniquely theirs. They certainly got it!

"In the past," says Shay, "it was about what you should do and following etiquette, but these days, it's more about the bride and groom, who they are, and what they really want. Making something that's unique that reflects the bride and groom is what we do!"

We are excited about what's ahead in wedding design and can't wait to see our upcoming projects with Party Tables! It's going to be a gorgeous fall, y'all!
