Meet Annie!

Spencer Special Events - Wednesday, December 10, 2014

As we've said before, Spencer Special Events is comprised of a team of individuals and a strong team at that. Today we'd like you to meet our darling Annie who has been with us for over 4 years assisting plan, but mostly help execute, dozens of our weddings.  Annie brings a sparkle to any wedding day. Brides and their maids love her calming energy and grooms love her wit and charm.  She just seems to put everyone at ease.  We sat down with her to hear about her favorite parts of a wedding day and about what's in store for this 2014 USC Graduate.

How did you get interested in wedding planning & coordination? I think it's something I have always been drawn to. I vividly remember being a flower girl when I was 3 and the whole wedding being so beautiful and exciting!  I reached out to Amanda the summer before heading off to college, asking if she needed any help so I could gain some experience and to see if wedding planning was something I enjoyed. Thankfully the timing was right and I met her and Lindsay at Starbucks (loved them right away) and then I started working that summer and on breaks.

What do you like about working with brides/grooms on their wedding day? I love the emotions of the Bride and Groom on their wedding day. It is great to see how excited and happy the bride and groom are to start their new life together. Usually the Groom is anxious to see his Bride and wants to make sure everything is perfect. I like seeing the Bride being surrounded by her family and friends as they get ready and share memories. It is a very sentimental time and I love to be part of their big day!

What's your favorite part of the wedding? I love it all! I love how beautiful weddings are. I love the decor aspect and how you can customize each wedding to really reflect the couples style. I love seeing all of the guests and family come together to celebrate. Weddings are filled with happiness and working weddings is very rewarding and a constant reminder of how special life is.

Here she is with some friends upon graduation. Aren't they adorable?

After graduation this Winter, Annie is off to New Zealand and Australia for 2 months! (Ah! We are so envious!)  She's incredibly grateful for the opportunity and very enthusiastic about exploring.  When she returns, we are excited to have her back to help coordinate our spring affairs!

Congratulations Annie, We love you!!
