Amanda Spencer was born and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Tourism Management. While attending Purdue she worked for Marriott International in Indianapolis, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky.


Following her full-service hotel days, Amanda accepted the position of Event Manager for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Her responsibilities included planning meetings and events for Chamber members, business leaders and State Officials throughout the Bluegrass state.

With Amanda’s passion for people, it was inevitable she would expand her focus to weddings, anniversaries, and other social events. Her goal – to exceed expectations with details, frill, and fun!

“I truly have the best job in the whole world. I love meeting with clients for the first time and sharing my enthusiasm and ideas with families who are about to plan emotional and exciting events that will create memories for years to come!”

While working for Marriott in Lexington, Amanda met and married her husband, Case Spencer.  Case and Amanda have two darling boys, Griffin and Russ.  Along with their yellow lab, Libby, they are a family privileged to be working with families on such joyous occasions.

Amanda is a member of Junior League of Savannah, serves as a volunteer with the American Heart Association Heart Ball, active with May River Montessori School, and is involved with the Children’s Miracle Network.

Wedding Day Favorite: “I LOVE being with my brides right before they walk down the aisle.  All of our hard work, months (sometime years) of emails, conference calls and planning are worth it for that very moment! The excitement in the groom’s face, the butterflies and sparkle the bride portrays, and the pride that the father of the bride has walking his little girl down the aisle – that is what it is all about.  Not to mention I love a bite of wedding cake!”

Case was born and raised in Quitman, Georgia and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Economics and Business. He has worked with Marriott International for over a decade. His duties have included Housekeeping manager, Front Office manager, Director of Rooms, Director of Restaurants, and General Manager. Case specializes in heavy lifting for the Spencer Special Events ladies on wedding day and is much more than a right hand man.   He is truly a large part of the Spencer Special Events team.

Megan Wayt was born and raised in the wilds of Southern California. A hair stylist by trade, she began her love affair with weddings styling gorgeous updos and long, loose waves for Brides and their maids. She has been featured in publications such as Style Me Pretty, Once Wed, Green Wedding Shoes, and the Australian White Magazine. As she continued down the stylist path she realized she wanted to be a part of the action and help to craft all those beautiful details that make up an affair. One year and a cross-country move later, Megan landed herself in the South and found the perfect home at Spencer Special Events. She is excited to jump into the wedding world of the Lowcountry as well as bring a little of her California flavor to South Carolina.

Lindsay Daly joined the Spencer Special Events team in 2010 raised in Lexington, Virginia and Simsbury, Connecticut. Lindsay graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Art History.  After graduation, Lindsay moved to New York City and accepted a position in the J Crew Corporate office as a designer and buyer.  Lindsay’s experience with budget balancing and desire to provide the best customer service as well as her natural abilities in creative design make her a perfect fit for Spencer Special Events.  Lindsay is extremely thorough and leaves no detail overlooked; not to mention creates a mean wedding week timeline!

Annie Bartholomew began working for Spencer Special Events as an intern in the summer of 2011. A true native of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Annie enjoyed her years at Hilton Head Christian Academy while participating in a wide array of activities such as student government, dancing, and community enrichment.  She is currently studying Marketing and Hospitality at the University of South Carolina. Annie’s keen interest for people and their happiness has led her to pursue a career in event planning.

In addition to Annie’s passion for event planning at Spencer Special Events, she actively participates in the University of South Carolina Homecoming Planning Committee, American Marketing Association, Association for Wedding Professionals International, and all South Carolina home football games!

We love having Annie as part of our team and appreciate her fresh ideas and enthusiasm that she brings to each and every event!
